It’s funny how we sometimes pretend that we are completely fine being single and that we LOVE the freedom but really deep down all you want is someone to love and someone to love you back. companionship. couples stay married even without the love just because they don’t want to be alone. what is this human nature in us that makes us feel emotionally and physically yearning for a pair. singular existence…it’s a part of our design to be partnered and to know that we are all connected.
once you find love…you try so hard to keep it there…and when it leaves…you are once again alone. why do we want it so much when there’s so much pain involved. so here I am…still here…you’re still on my mind and sometimes I don’t mind. but you were definitely someone I used to know and I’m still trying to forget. i separate myself from this by not getting emotionally attached to anyone…what if it all happens again? but the more people praise me the better i feel….right? so many boys so little time…and yet there’s nothing, numbness…frustration…aching for something with substance to exist and yet i grasp at thin air. I want that feeling of rapture and exhilaration again…but at what cost? and who would want a broken toy?
will I ever love again?
